I Haven’t Quit

Been busy. I am truly amazed at the amount of meetings and paperwork required for new teachers. Within a week, I’ve already spent more time in meetings than I did in my entire legal career. As are all meetings, these are worthless. And as do all meetings, they steal time from worthwhile tasks. In my situation, preparation for my class. In addition, because my predecessor had no class room organization at all, I have to create one (filing system, class procedures, grades, assignments, etc) myself. Long story short, until the administrative storm settles, I’m really in no shape to spend what little spare time I have blogging.

I’ll probably pick it up again, though – the first week  in class has given me plenty of material. Just don’t know when.

All I can say is “I told you so”. (I am glad we can share in the misery now.) But remember when the light bulbs go off, it is all worth it.
