But At Least His Pants Weren’t Sagging

Cause that’s the real problem, not corrupt attorneys turned busybody city councilman (“but I repeat myself”):

Shreveport Councilman Calvin Lester could lose his law license for three years if the Louisiana Supreme Court accepts a recommendation of the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board.

The main charge is that on several occasions he failed to give clients the money they were due. In one case he kept a woman’s child support payments. She actually had to sue him to get her money. I love this quote from the state supremes about it:

“Had the respondent been more focused on his law practice than his campaign, he might have realized that money for two third-party providers had not been distributed.”

If the problem is his inability to do two things at once, I wish the remedy had been firing him as councilman.
