Mississippi School Cancels Prom Rather Than Allow Interracial Couples

This is no different:

A Mississippi county school board announced Wednesday it would cancel its upcoming prom after a gay student petitioned to bring a same-sex date to the event.

To start, why did she have to petition to bring her date? Is there some kind of screening process for all couples? Some neutral party who applies an e-harmony-ish list of twenty nine critical matching qualities to ensure compatibility prior to allowing couples to attend? Or is this just because she’s gay?

Second, nice job school board in encouraging gay bashing. Like the poor girl says:

“Oh, my God. That’s really messed up because the message they are sending is that if they have to let gay people go to prom that they are not going to have one,” she said. “A bunch of kids at school are really going to hate me for this.”

Here’s hoping the students are smart enough to realize the problem is the foolishness of the board.

Finally, I’ve read a few articles today about how to fix America’s schools. Let me suggest the biggest problem is morons like the members of this school board.

They should be ashamed of themselves.

Well I believe this is a wake-up call to these students! There are consequences for every action. This is just the first of life’s lesson to be learned.
There is a price to pay on everything we do in life, like it or not!
